Lil Weezy was asked by MTV to perform on stage at the VMA this year. He will be pairing with Kid Rock on stage for his performance this year. His energy should be different this year around due to his high success in 2008 and with the release of his Carter III.

Last Year in 2007 Lil Wayne had just a couple of days to write a verse for his performance withe the Nicole Scherzinger.

The big spotlight is on Wayne this year to see if his success in the U.S. is enough to captivate a world audience. He has been around for a while there is no doubt about that being part of the Cash Money Hot Boys. This years appearance will probably be enough to launch his fan base even higher or turn ears that haven’t listened to his music before.
